The Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) is a publicly-funded broadcaster of radio and television in Flanders.

At the VRT, Quintiq's planning and optimization platform has been in use since 2004 in various departments. This includes the planning of staff and equipment in the newsroom, technical radio broadcasting resources, and production resources for TV and sports departments. At the Radio department, planning involves approximately 150 staff members, 30 radio studios and all the necessary technical equipment. VRT uses SAP to manage the complete business backbone processes of its broadcasting operations. One of the key achievements for VRT has been an overall increase in efficiency through the use of Quintiq. The seamless integration between SAP and Quintiq enabled the broadcaster to optimize performance and utilization of all its resources with one flexible business model.
