Erik van Dort, Vice President, Supply Chain Management at Capgemini Consulting, and Johannes Giloth, Head of Supply Chain & Logistics at Nokia Siemens Networks, co-authored a chapter on Supply Chain Business Process Outsourcing in the recently published EVO Logistics Yearbook 2011.

The chapter discusses the history of BPO and how it evolved from companies outsourcing a single logistics process to a marketplace focused on complex and integrated services, including truly end-to-end processes. Nokia Siemens Network is used as an example of how and why a company would decide to take on a major transformation outsourcing project.
