Order and Distribution Manager within Global Supply Chain

Are you passionate about logistics and looking for a meaningful role?

In this position, you will be a member of the Global Pharma Supply Chain organization. You will be accountable to act according the Roche corporate principles, directives and guidelines, as well as demonstrating the company's core values in your daily activities. You will actively contribute to the realization of the overall strategy and purpose of the organization.

Your job accountabilities will include:

  • Ensure that products are delivered in quality, on time and in a compliant way
  • Administer effective running of order, distribution and logistics operations
  • Issue and prepare timely transfer of products, documents and information
  • Coordinate logistics operations to ensure efficient pick/pack and shipping of products
  • Act as single point of contact towards Demand Planning, Affiliate Replenishment Coordinators and/or Logistics Managers for a defined portfolio of countries.
  • Act as single point of contact towards Master Production Schedulers, Order & Supply Managers, Supply Planner, and Quality for a defined portfolio of products.
  • Execute approved working procedures to fulfil customer and regulatory requirements
  • Support and contribute to realization of objectives, projects and improvement initiatives

We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • University Degree/Bachelor/Professional education or commercial apprenticeship and/or minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in pharmaceutical industry
  • Practical knowledge in import/export, trading or logistics management
  • Six Sigma certification (green belt) a plus
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
  • Understanding of Lean Production System (LPS) elements and methods
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • APICS certification (or equivalent) a plus

You also have experience and expertise in the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of customer focused experience in supply chain operations
  • Experience in global business environment
  • Experiences with sales/distribution processes, and ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning).
  • Understanding of Biotech/pharmaceutical industry standards, supply chain and GMP manufacturing practices

You are a self-starter with a high level of energy. You have strong communication and negotiation skills and you are able to build effective relationships. Your stakeholder management skills are excellent and you are customer oriented. You are able to maintain focus in a complex, ambiguous environment. Strong analytical skills are a plus. Your verbal and written communication in English is excellent, further languages are a plus.

The preferred start date of this position is 1st February 2020.
